Diving in Bimini

Our friends Jude and Dennis asked us to join them on a dive trip to the Bahamas on the Easy Goin', a 62-foot charter dive boat out of Fort Lauderdale. Captain Dan and his two crew took very good care of the four of us. The six-hour crossing was a little rough, but well-worth the bumpy ride. Our first dive was on the wreck of the SS Sapona, used for target practice during WW II. Anne found an encrusted bullet during the dive! Subsequent dives brought us face to face with turtles, lobsters, eels, nurse sharks, sting rays and schools of beautiful fish among sponges and coral formations. At Bull Run site, nine resident Caribbean Reef sharks came out to join us!
